Community involvement is very important as understanding trauma is always evolving.
Whether you are looking for free community sponsored informational events or are a mental health professional needing continuing education credits to maintain your license, I offer several events throughout the year.
As a therapist specializing in treatment of direct trauma (something happening to you), and indirect trauma (something happening to others that you see or learn about), my community events and trainings are all trauma-focused. I present information for the person dealing with the trauma as well as their families. Trauma reactions are often a family problem as when one person is suffering, everyone feels the effects.
